Tax payers best interest?

It is now nearing the end of August and the beginning of the new school year. The union contract is still in negotiations and the student class schedules are yet to be produced.

On July 14, Dr. Valenti was re-hired to specifically work on both these items. Mr. Castricone mentioned that they would re-hire Dr. Valenti for 12 days at $1,000 per day. It was also mentioned in a previous meeting that the union contract was basically complete in June and just needed signatures. And, it was pointed out at a previous meeting that Dr. Valenti couldn’t even use a computer, so how could he create the class schedules? For $12,000 we did not receive a union contract or student class schedules.

Dr. Valenti has since been hired in another district.

Apparently this was NOT in the best interest of the tax payer and reads more like a hush money promise completed.

As a tax payer, all should be alarmed by this conduct and question these actions.
